Practicing medicines in allopathy without medical degree recognized by the Medical Council of India - This Court directed the State Governments of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh to authorize all Civil Surgeons - (i) for filing of complaints under Section 32 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 in their respective districts; (ii) to verify the registration of medical practitioners and initiate action against those found to be violating the provisions of the Act and to send annual reports to the State Government - to authorize the Drug Inspector/ Gazetted Officers/ Civil Surgeons to file complaints for offences punishable under Section 15(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 - review petition allowed.
